Fishing from Los Muertos Pier

The pier at Los Muertos beach was once again the spot to be for shore fishing.  In the early part of July, small Dorado were landed, a very nice bonus to catch on a hand line.  The 'Regulars' are a great bunch of fishing enthusiasts who go out of their way to pass on live bait and lots of free advice to tourists who are trying their luck.  If you are interested in fishing from this pier, all you need is light spinning gear and a jig or feathers.  You can even rig up a small bleach bottle with line, a sinker and hook with live bait to see what you come up with.  This is fishing at its best, good sport, good companions and absolutely FREE!

Okay, Okay, this is a photo from the March Report but it is all that we have at this time.  It is reported from the editor of the newspaper that our column is published, that a 45 pound fish was caught from this pier at Los Muertos.  He was not sure what the species was but it was certainly a record of some kind.  The photo will be on line as soon as we have it.
