It's Never Rough in PV?

Fortunately we almost always enjoy relatively calm seas within the Bay of Banderas and at the blue water locations but every now and then we fall off our 'Perfect Conditions' pedestal and have a couple of rough days.  These are few and far between, but do happen.

The July weather was slightly unpredictable. Mid month, a hurricane passed by, there was no major effect other than some good-sized swells and the fishing carried on as usual.  On the 27th, Captain Kurt of the ESPERANZA and Phil took out 3 Texans, Rob Shiner and buddies Dave and Ross.  The seas at Corbeteņia were rough, a wind chop really beat these guys up, and Phil could barely roll out of bed the next morning and the considerably younger Captain Kurt was still aching 2 days later.  It was a wet trip as well but since the ocean temperature was 85 degrees, this was not an issue.  But, fishermen are a hardy bunch and no one can question Mother Nature so Rob and his friends weathered the day with no complaints.  They did catch a few small tuna but the big boys were nowhere to be found.
